SERVICE 08

Medical Cupping / Hijama

Cupping is used as a supporting technique to help soft tissue relax and ease muscle tightness. It is applied with sterile equipment and safety standards as part of a complete plan.

When may this service be considered?

  • 01Back and shoulder muscle tightness
  • 02Activity-related muscle fatigue
  • 03Supporting manual therapy and exercise
  • 04When a supporting technique is preferred after discussion

An assessment-led approach

Your health status is reviewed first and the suitable type of cupping explained. It is then applied while monitoring skin and tissue response, and combined with the rest of the plan.

Clinical considerations

It may not be suitable with anemia, bleeding disorders, blood thinners, skin conditions in the area, or during pregnancy. Temporary marks on the skin are common.

Information shown is general and does not replace an in-person assessment. Suitability of any technique is decided after examination.
